22:22 CET - RB Leipzig have since pulled one back, but Como have scored a third goal in what is proving a devastating debut. Their third goal might just be the best of the night as Assane Diao fires past the keeper from a tight angle with precision.
22:15 CET - Bayern Munich are ahead at last against Bodo/Glimt as Jamal Musiala fires the hosts ahead after dominating the first half but being frustrated by the visitors.

First, a lovely team goal is smartly finished off by Bruno Fernandes before Benjamin Sesko makes it 3-0 for his second goal in the last two outings.

21:30 CET - It took a while but Manchester United are now ahead against Champions League debutants Sabah after Matheus Cunha finished off a smart Patrick Dorgu pullback. That is also Cunha's first-ever UCL goal on this night of firsts in Europe.
21:20 CET - Como have scored their first-ever goal in Europe on their Champions League debut to get us off the mark in the late games! And what a brilliant finish it was too by the ever-dangerous Martin Baturina, who shimmied past the last defender inside the box before finding the bottom corner and sending the home crowd into dreamland.

A stuttering start for Fenerbahce and Roma as they play out a 1-1 draw, whilst Shakhtar have begun their campaign with a valian point on the road at PSV.

They begin tonight at home to Bodo/Glimt, who stunned the footballing world last year by beating Manchester City and making it all the way to the quarter-finals of the competition.

19:56 CET - Back to the early games, where both Fenerbahce and PSV have levelled their ties.
Archie Brown has got past some lacklustre Roma defending to make it 1-1, whilst it's another full-back, Sergino Dest, who has pulled the Dutch side back into the encounter against Shakhtar.
19:45 CET - Manchester United's return to the Champions League begins by hosting one of the tournament's fairy-tale stories.
Sabah of Azerbaijan may be less than a decade old, but under Lithuanian manager, Valdas Dambrauskas, who spoke to ScoresStat recently, they have made the final giant leap into the big time.
Michael Carrick, his opposite number, has named a strong side with Benjamin Sesko getting the nod up front after his goal against Everton at the weekend.
Meanwhile, another debutant, Como, take their bow this evening against RB Leipzig.
Their restricted capacity has seen executives give their tickets up for the Serie A side's oldest fans in what will be a memorable night.
19:34 CET - Half-time in both games, and it's Shakhtar who head down the tunnel at PSV the happier of the two teams, thanks to a late first-half strike from Gleiker Mendoza, despite the match momentum going against the Ukrainian side.

Roma break the deadlock against Fenerbahce through Bryan Cristante after good work from Donyell Malen.
19:00 CET - Slow start in both games, which probably shows the importance of these winnable clashes for each of the four sides.
In Istanbul, it's the home side, Fenerbahce, who are on the front foot - Bartug Elmaz having the best chance so far, only to see Roma's goalkeeper make the save.
18:45 CET - We are underway across our two games on the final day of the first matchday of the Champions League League Phase.
17:40 CET - Two early games this evening from 18:45 CET, with the big one coming in Turkey, where Fenerbahce and Roma will do battle.
The side from Istanbul needed six games to make it into League Phase, whilst the Serie A club are back in the tournament for the first time in seven years.
Donyell Malen will be the main threat for the Romans, with the Dutch striker already netting five goals in three games.
Elsewhere, PSV take on Shakthar in the Netherlands to begin their Champions League campaign.
These two have met just once before, back in 2024, with the Dutch side winning that encounter 3-2. Will we get a repeat tonight?
15:40 CET - Good afternoon and welcome to the final night of the first gameweek of the Champions League, league phase!
There are a couple of fascinating games to get the evening underway, including a difficult-to-call clash between Fenerbahce and Roma. Fener spent a lot of money in the summer and, on paper, they have a very competitive squad but they have had a mixed start to the Turkish Super Lig season.
Roma meanwhile have had a flying start to their Serie A campaign and under the ever-impressive Gian Piero Gasperini, they are starting to look like the real deal. A tough match to call but Roma might just have the edge.

22:53 CET - Liverpool and Arsenal have both picked up victories tonight in the Champions League, with victories over Atletico Madrid and Napoli.
Meanwhile, PSG have hit Slovan Bratislava for six as Ferran Torres nets a hat-trick, whilst Sporting CP have also picked up all three points with a 3-1 win over Galatasaray.
22:35 CET - It's not been a vintage game in Naples, but Arsenal have finally broken the deadlock with 15 minutes to play.
Captain Martin Odegaard, who has been on hot form since the start of the season, has the opener, ably assisted by substitute Christos Tzolis.
22:20 CET - As we cross the hour mark, Sporting CP have taken a 2-1 lead over Galatasaray thanks to a spot-kick from the ever-reliable Luis Suarez - it's his fifth goal in four games for the Portuguese side.
22:17 CET - We wondered who would be first to claim their hat-trick for PSG tonight, and it is Ferran Torres, who beats Ousmane Dembele to the punch.
The Spanish World Cup winner makes it 5-0 against Slovan Bratislava in the 57th minute, as the reigning champions start their new campaign in dominant fashion.
22:12 CET - Liverpool hit the front at Anfield against Atletico Madrid!
After telling reporters on Tuesday he was 'very sad' about not being offered a new contract at the club, Alexis Mac Allister has given the higher-ups at Liverpool more to think about as the Argentina international makes it 2-1 to the Reds.
It's a wonderful drive from distance, struck with venom and celebrated in front of the Kop.
22:06 CET - Underway for the second halves of our four late games, and PSG have started exactly how they finished it, as they go 4-0 up against Slovan Bratislava.
Ferran Torres has added his second of the match, with both Torres and Ousmane Dembele now chasing hat-tricks.
21:55 CET - Over in Paris, PSG are in cruise control after an Ousmane Dembele brace has played a crucial role in the holders' commanding 3-0 lead at the break against Slovan Bratislava.
21:52 CET - It has been a much quieter opening 45 minutes in Naples as it remains goalless at the break between Napoli and Arsenal.
Although all the stats suggest Arsenal should be ahead after dominating the first half in all but the scoreline.
21:50 CET - And that was the final major moment of a fascinating first 45 minutes at Anfield that has Liverpool and Atletico Madrid level at 1-1 to set the second half up perfectly.
21:45 CET - Liverpool are level at Anfield! A thrilling end-to-end game was always going to have more goals and it is a quality goal by the hosts.
Ronald Araujo is loving life at full-back for Iraola and the man on loan from Barcelona did brilliantly to cheekily flick the ball into the path of Dominik Szoboszlai, who did the rest with a nonchalant finish.
21:35 CET - It is three now after Dembele turns provider for Ferran Torres, who gets a toe on it to direct the ball past the keeper for a goal on his PSG Champions League debut.
21:31 CET - Over in Paris and Ballon d'Or contender Ousmane Dembele has scored a brace early on to put PSG in cruise control against Slovakian side Slovan Bratislava.
21:21 CET - Atletico Madrid are ahead early on at Anfield and Marcos Llorente has scored against Liverpool AGAIN! The Atletico right-back doesn't score often, but he almost always does when he comes up against Liverpool.
That is his sixth goal involvement against Liverpool, which equals the record for the number of Champions League goals an individual has scored against the same team. Not bad for a right-back!
The worrying thing for Iroala will be how much space his side allowed Llorente, who had all the time in the world to pick his spot when slipped through on goal.
21:07 CET - The first goal from the late kick-offs goes to Galatasaray! After piling on the early pressure, the Istanbul giants are ahead after a long throw-in is bundled into the net by Lucas Torreira, after the initial effort was saved by Sporting CP's keeper.
21:00 CET - Ready to go again? A fascinating night of Champions League action is underway across the grounds after a minute's silence to reflect on the tragedy in Nepal.
20:40 CET - As they seem to do so often under Hansi Flick, Barcelona turned up the heat in the second half to cruise to a 5-1 win against Feyenoord to continue their flying start to the 2026/27 season.
The Catalan giants are going to score a lot of goals this season...
20:30 CET - The goals are flying in now at the Nou Camp as, first, a Lamine Yamal free-kick finds its way through Feyenoord's wall before the visitors went down the other end to score a consolation goal.
But Barca were back doing the scoring minutes later as Gabriel Jesus scored his first goal for his new club after directing a smart header past the keeper from a Lamine Yamal delivery.
20:12 CET - Team news is in for the late games and the big story of the evening comes from Anfield as Bradley Barcola is set to make his first Liverpool start as Andoni Iraola's side host Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.
The other big team news this evening is that Viktor Gyokeres is handed his first start of the campaign as he leads Arsenal's attack in their visit to Napoli. Former Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund leads the line for the hosts.
20:04 CET - The on-fire Raphinha has done it again for Barcelona, scoring his second and Barca's third goal of the day! It was another clinical finish after Pedri slipped the Brazilian in with a perfectly weighted through ball. Barcelona have just been too good in the big moments and their ruthlessness has been the difference this evening.
19:35 CET - It is half time in the early games, with both Barcelona and Stuttgart in cruise control.
19:19 CET - 32 minutes in and Ermedin Demirovic has bagged a stunning hat-trick for Stuttgart, coming in a 13-minute period. What a start to the Champions League for the Bosnian.
19:13 CET - Ermedin Demirovic has bagged his second goal of the game for Stuttgart with a brilliant finish, putting the Bundesliga outfit 2-1 up against Viking.
19:09 CET - No sooner had Stuttgart taken the lead against Viking than the Champions League debutants had struck straight back, with Zlatko Tripic netting his club's first-ever goal in the competition to make it 1-1.
Meanwhile, Barcelona are now 2-0 up against Feyenoord, after Karim Adeyemi scored his second goal for the club and first in Europe.
18:51 CET - Three minutes in, and the free-scoring Barcelona are already a goal up against Feyenoord, with the irresistible Raphinha producing a brilliant bit of skill before slotting home emphatically. He now has seven goals in all competitions this season, playing in a new No. 9 role.

17:45 CET - The line-ups are in ahead of the early matches, and the big news is that summer signings Rodri and Karim Adeyemi are both making their first Champions League starts for Barcelona.

22:55 CET - All over across Europe, where Real Madrid have held off a late Inter charge to win their Champions League opener 2-1, thanks to goals from Kylian Mbappe and Fede Valverde.
Another LaLiga side picking up three points is Real Betis. Two from Marc Bartra and a third from Troy Parrott saw them overcome Lille 3-2 after finding themselves a goal down at the break.
Villarreal could not make it three from three for the Spanish clubs, as they fell to a 3-2 defeat at Borussia Dortmund, with the biggest news of the game being the injury to young Greek star Konstantinos Karetsas in the first half as he was stretchered off.
Manchester City's Erling Haaland netted a brace to kick-start their campaign for a second Champions League crown, with the Citizens beating Porto 2-0.
22:37 CET - Life for Inter at the Bernabeu! A nice move down the left sees Lautaro Martinez put the ball on a plate for Carlos Augusto to sweep it home. Can the Italian side level this game up with 13 minutes to play?
22:14 CET - A stunning four minutes from Betis sees them 3-2 up against Lille. A second on the night from Marc Bartra and a first Champions League goal in green and white for Troy Parrott has seen them overturn the deficit.
22:08 CET - No prizes for guessing who has given Manchester City a 1-0 lead over Porto... that's right, it's Erling Haaland. After being named on the Ballon d'Or shortlist earlier in the day, the Norwegian heads back across goal to break the deadlock.
Opta: Erling Haaland is now just two goals away from reaching 60 Champions League goals.
21:50 CET - Half-time in our four 21:00 CET kick-offs, where Real Madrid lead 2-0 against Inter, despite the Italian side spurning a few decent chances in a wide-open game.
Elsewhere, the most entertainment has come in northern France, as Lille are 2-1 up against Betis. Marc Bartra levelled for the LaLiga side, only for Alexsandro to put the French team in front once more.
The other two games are both goalless.
21:32 CET - Some awful luck for Borussia Dortmund's new signing, Konstantinos Karetsas, who has had to be stretchered off in their match against Villarreal. The Greek star was kicking the ball before falling down, in what is hopefully not as bad as it looks.
21:27 CET - Look away now, Josep Martinez. The Inter goalkeeper dithers on the ball in his six-yard box, allowing Fede Valverde to steal in and poke the ball into an empty net. The Spanish stopper is furious with himself, and rightly so.
Madrid lead Inter 2-0 midway through the first half.
21:18 CET - Before the game at the Bernabeu, Luis Figo presented Kylian Mbappe with the Champions League golden boot, and the Frenchman shows no sign of slowing down as he puts Real Madrid 1-0 up against Inter with a sliding finish after good work from Brahim Diaz.
21:13 CET - If you want to get a new set of fans on side quickly, there is a simple way - score goals.
That is exactly what Ayase Ueda is doing with Lille, with his second goal in as many games for the former Feyenoord charge as the Ligue 1 side lead Real Betis 1-0 in the early going.
21:00 CET - Four more games left tonight and eight teams looking for a fast start to their campaign.
Real Madrid are raising some eyebrows with their starting XI - Trent Alexander-Arnold starts in midfield, alongside Jude Bellingham. It should be a fascinating watch.
20:35 CET - A big night for AEK Athens, who have held off LASK to win their League Phase opener 1-0, thanks to that first-half goal from Razvan Marin.
In Belgium, despite a valiant effort from Club Brugge, Aston Villa have won a thriller 3-2, with all of their goals coming in the first half.
20:05 CET - Nicolo Tresoldi is off the mark for Club Brugge as he makes it 3-2 against Aston Villa from the spot.
It was a harsh call on Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who was adjudged by VAR to have handled the ball from a cross, but it has brought the Belgians back into the contest.
20:02 CET - No goals in the second halves, as both early games head towards the hour mark.
Joey Veerman is in the starting XI for Borussia Dortmund this evening despite not starting a Bundesliga game so far, whilst Villarreal have three Canadians in their lineup.
19:49 CET - The lineups for our quartet of games kicking off at 21:00 CET are filtering in, and it is a first start for Manchester City for Ayyoub Bouaddi. The Moroccan teenager starts alongside Enzo Fernandez in midfield against Porto.
In Madrid, it looks like Trent Alexander-Arnold is to start in midfield for Real, as Brahim Diaz gets the nod on the wing.
19:33 CET - You won't want to watch that back, Yann Sommer. The Club Brugge goalkeeper races 40 yards out of his goal to clear the ball, only for Nicolas Jackson to steal in and slot the ball into an empty net for his first goal in claret and blue. Aston Villa lead 3-1 at the break, in what has been an entertaining affair.
Elsewhere, a goal from Razvan Marin sees AEK Athens hold a valuable one-goal advantage over LASK at the break.
19:08 CET - A neat cutback and a tidy finish, Club Brugge are level against Aston Villa.
Norwegian striker Hugo Vetlesen has the goal for the Belgian side, but it only lasts a minute as Emi Buendia sweeps Aston Villa back into the lead. A really good tempo to this one. Two of Villa's three goalscorers from their Europa League triumph in May are back on the scoresheet once again, showing just how influential they are.
18:59 CET - The first goal of the Champions League League Phase has come for Aston Villa after a lovely, curling effort from John McGinn on the edge of the box for his fourth goal in the competition. The Villans nearly make it 2-0 soon after as George Hemmings finds space in the box, but Club Brugge goalkeeper Yann Sommer makes a fine save.
Interestingly, it is 17C in Brugge this evening, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is wearing gloves. Make of that what you will.
18:47 CET - Here we go then, the road to Madrid starts tonight. Eight games per team across the League Phase; the top eight qualify for the round of 16, and ninth to 24th go into the play-off round - let's get it started.
18:05 CET - Over to our other early game, where LASK make their League Phase debut against AEK Athens, a side who have not featured in the Champions League since 2018.
The Austrians will rely on Christoph Lang to provide a goal threat, he netted twice against Altach in a recent Bundesliga victory, whilst Luka Jovic looks to make waves on his return to the Champions League. He is best remembered for a tough stint with Real Madrid after shining with Eintracht Frankfurt, and will hope he can continue his great scoring record for the Greeks.
17:44 CET - The lineups are in for our first two games of the League Phase.
Teenager Ibrahim Mbaye is named on the bench for the first time as an Ason Villa player against Club Brugge, whilst Aaron Wan-Bissaka gets his maiden start for the away side.
Nicolo Tresoldi will be the Belgian side's biggest threat, after netting four times in the Champions League last time out, and he will be their main threat once again.

It's been a few months since the final in Budapest, where PSG retained their crown after beating Arsenal on penalties.
And we are back with a new season of football's premier club competition, with the Gunners Opta's favourite for it all in June.
Tonight, though, attention turns to other contenders. Real Madrid and Inter headline the late action as Jose Mourinho manages Los Blancos against the side he won the Champions League with back in 2010. Despite all his success since, that was his last Champions League win, and he will be hungry to bring it back to Madrid for the first time since 2024.
Elsewhere, LASK make their debut in the Champions League proper with a winnable tie against AEK Athens. The Austrian Bundesliga champions knocked out Celtic in the play-off round with a masterful comeback - can they take that form into the League Phase.
Aston Villa return to the competition after winning last season's UEFA Europa League and take on Club Brugge, with a new-look team under Unai Emery. New signings Joao Gomes and Nicolas Jackson are likely to start as is George Hemmings, one of their new starlets.
