08:07 CET - Home favourite Ben Shelton continues his charge for a maiden Grand Slam title, seeing off the challenge of Canadian Denis Shapovalov, 7-6(3), 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-4, with the match yet again finishing just after 2am in New York.
It was a bit of an error-strewn performance from both players, with Shelton hitting 47 winners and 54 unforced errors, while Shapovalov hit 28 winners to 36 unforced errors.
Up next for the eighth seed is a clash with the resurgent Stefanos Tsitsipas.
05:30 CET - Anna Kalinskaya is the last player on the women's side to advance in Friday's play.
The number 21 seed got the better of Elina Svitolina 6-3, 2-6, 6-3 in an hour and 54 minutes to go through. Despite going down a break in the third set, Kalinskaya did not panic, winning the final four service games to progress.
04:20 CET - Venus and Serena Williams suffered a narrow 6-3, 6-7 (6), 7-6 (7) to Maya Joint and Hao-Ching Chan in the first round of the women's doubles.
A back-and-forth encounter required a match tierbreak in the third set, where the Williams sisters went up 5-0, only to lose 10 of the last 12 points to exit the tournament at the first hurdle.
03:15 CET - Frances Tiafoe gets the better of Valentin Vacherot 6-4, 6-2, 6-4 in two hours of tennis to progress to the fourth round.
The American saved all three break points on his serve as he powered his way into the second week of the US Open. He will take on Medvedev next.
02:45 CET - Alex Michelsen is through to the fourth round at the US Open thanks to a 7-6 (5), 6-4, 6-3 success against Daniel Merida Aguilar.
It was an excellent performance from the American, who committed just 14 unforced errors throughout the course of the contest. That played a key role in him moving through, where he will take on Etcheverry.
02:05 CET - Tomas Martin Etcheverry ends Mariano Navone's best-ever run at Flushing Meadows with a 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 win over his fellow Argentine.
It was a solid performance from the 27th seed, breaking Navone in each set en route to a victory that will see him into the second week of a major for the second time in his career and first at the US Open.
01:50 CET - For the first time in nearly three years, Stefano Tsitsipas is in the second week of a grand slam.
The Greek defeats Jiri Lehecka 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (3), 6-1 to progress to the fourth round of the US Open. With five breaks of serve, Tsitsipas, currently ranked 53rd in the world, hit 34 winners to 30 unforced errors on his way to victory.
He will face the winner of Shelton and Shapovalov later on.
00:20 CET - Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova is through to the second week after beating Ann Li 6-2, 6-7 (6), 6-2 in two hours and change.
The world number six started strong in this one, needing less than half an hour to win the opening set. Despite a strong response from the American, she was no match for Noskova in the end as she recovered in the decider to progress.
00:00 CET - There is still plenty of singles action to come tonight, but you won't want to take your eyes off the doubles either, with the Williams sisters taking to the court in an hour's time.
23:26 CET - This is becoming a dream day for the US! The home crowd's latest cause for celebration is a surprise win for world number 27 Emma Navarro, who has beaten seventh seed and Wimbledon runner-up Karolina Muchova 6-3, 7-5.
Muchova's high-risk style is a glorious sight when it pays off, but it didn't today, with the Czech player hitting 32 unforced errors and 18 winners. On the other side of the net, Navarro played some of her best tennis in years.
22:51 CET - Alcaraz has moved into the next round without too much trouble at all, ultimately prevailing 6-3, 6-4, 6-1 in just over two hours.
The Spaniard once again looked better than many would have expected given he's been out injured for so long, hitting 21 winners and claiming 69% of points on his first serve.
He faces a tougher test next in the form of Paul though, who has beaten him twice and will have the home crowd behind him.
22:25 CET - Things are looking very good indeed for Carlos Alcaraz, who leads Yibing Wu 6-3, 6-4.

22:15 CET - Another American marches on! Tommy Paul has done so in dramatic fashion, winning a five-set battle with Alexander Bublik 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 6-1, 6-3, avenging the defeat he suffered to his opponent in a similarly tight clash at this tournament last year.
There was little to choose between the two, but Paul was just about the better player, with more winners, fewer unforced errors and stronger all-round serving numbers.
21:54 CET - The home crowd have a surprise victory to celebrate, with world number 96 Taylor Townsend beating 15th seed Diana Shnaider 6-2, 6-7, 6-3.
Townsend is a hugely accomplished doubles player, having topped the rankings and won three Grand Slam titles, but this is just the third time she's made the fourth round of a singles major, and all of those runs have come on home turf.
21:00 CET - 2021 champion Daniil Medvedev has marched on without too much trouble, claiming a 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 win over 26th seed Arthur Rinderknech.
The world number eight has yet to drop a set this week, and is undoubtedly the heavy favourite to reach the semis from his quarter of the draw. With the play he's playing, don't bet against him going even further than that either.
20:03 CET - Third seed Jessica Pegula is the latest big name through to the fourth round, with the American recovering from a nightmare start to see off 2021 runner-up Leylah Fernandez in three sets, 1-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The 32-year-old overcame an error-strewn opening set to eventually stamp her authority on the contest, hitting 26 winners and converting all three of her break-point opportunities.
Finalist in 2024, Pegula will be hoping to go one step further this year, with a fourth-round meeting against Sorana Cirstea up next.
18:50 CET - Two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka is safely through to the fourth round after battling through a tight second set to see off Kamilla Rakhimova 6-3, 6-4 in 90 minutes.
The top-seeded Belarusian fired down 29 winners and converted 76% of points behind her first serve to secure a 16th (!) consecutive victory at the US Open.
She'll face either 15th seed Diana Shnaider or home favourite Taylor Townsend next.
18:39 CET - Sorana Cirstea's incredible final season continues to deliver, with the Romanian cruising past Italy's Jasmine Paolini in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
The 36-year-old will face either third seed Jessica Pegula or former finalist Leylah Fernandez for a spot in the last eight.
18:28 CET - Ukraine's Marta Kostyuk is the first woman through to the fourth round in New York, with the 11th seed proving comfortably too strong for Ekaterina Alexandrova in a 6-3, 6-2 triumph.
The in-form 24-year-old has now racked up 36 wins so far in 2026, and is through to the US Open fourth round for a second successive year.
Up next for Kostyuk is either Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova or American Ann Li.
15:15 CET - Today's action is starting with a bang, with world number one Sabalenka getting things underway against Rakhimova.
After a disappointing run of tournaments over the summer, she's looked good thus far in New York, dropping no sets and just eight games across her first two matches.
The top seed has won all three clashes that she and her opponent have contested, although only one was on a hard court and Rakhimova was able to claim a set on that occasion.

Play starts in a few hours at 17:00 CET, with top seed and defending women's champion Aryna Sabalenka taking on Uzbekistan's Kamilla Rakhimova first up on Louis Armstrong Stadium.
Shortly after, home favourite and 2024 finalist Jessica Pegula opens proceedings on Arthur Ashe Stadium against 2021 runner-up Leylah Fernandez, before defending men's champion Carlos Alcaraz continues his comeback from injury against China's Yibing Wu.
Later, in the night session on Arthur Ashe Stadium, Serena Williams and Venus Williams begin their women's doubles campaign against Hao-Ching Chan and Maya Joint, before eighth seed Ben Shelton faces Canada's Denis Shapovalov.
Elsewhere, Karolina Muchova, Daniil Medvedev, Elina Svitolina and Frances Tiafoe also take to the court on a jam-packed Friday.
