The 19-year-old has claimed a 7-6, 6-3 win over Arthur Fils to become a Masters 1000 semi-finalist in his first season on the ATP Tour.

22:36 CET - The rain has stopped, the match has resumed, and Jodar has won the first set.
The Spanish sensation has done so in a tiebreaker, winning it 7-5 to finally claim the opener after just over an hour of on-court action, and the all-important point was won with a stunning drop shot.
21:29 CET - The clash between young sensations Rafael Jodar and Arthur Fils has been suspended due to rain, with the opening set currently on serve at 5-4 to the former.
Jodar raced into a 3-0 lead, but Fils then steadied the ship and broke back in the seventh game.
20:16 CET - Brandon Nakashima is into the semi-finals of the Canadian Open!
The second set was a much tighter affair than the first, lasting 52 minutes and seeing the American face four break point, but he saved them all and ultimately sealed a 6-2, 6-3 win over Luciano Darderi.
As a result, he's into the final four of a Masters 100 tournament for the first time.
19:16 CET - The first set has gone the way of Nakashima in Montreal, with the American winning it 6-2 after claiming four of the last five games.
He's served excellently so far, not facing a single break point.
17:18 CET - We're just over an hour away from play getting underway in Montreal, as Luciano Darderi and Brandon Nakashima face off for a place in the last four.
Darderi is playing in an ATP-leading 10th quarter-final of the season, while Nakashima is contesting his first-ever quarter-final at Masters 1000 level.
The pair have met twice before, with the head-to-head record tied at 1-1.

With rain and the threat of lightning forcing the postponement of the men's matches in Montreal on Monday, all four quarter-finals take place today, starting with 19th seed Luciano Darderi taking on Brandon Nakashima at 18:30 CET.
Following that clash, Spanish sensation Rafael Jodar comes up against talented Frenchman Arthur Fils in a fascinating match-up, before defending champion Ben Shelton faces Czechia's Jakub Mensik, and Learner Tien takes on Daniel Merida Aguilar.
Meanwhile, in Toronto, the remaining two women's quarter-finals take place, with fourth seed Coco Gauff locking horns with Switzerland's Belinda Bencic at 01:00 CET, as the pair prepare to meet for the third time this year.
Last but by no means least, world number two Elena Rybakina takes on the resurgent Naomi Osaka, with the Japanese star looking to move a step closer to a first title since February 2021.
