22:41 CET - That is where our coverage ends for the night but be sure to join us again tomorrow afternoon for the Paris Masters quarter-finals.
22:30 CET - Casper Ruud has won the final match of the day in Paris! Much like Fritz earlier in the night, Ruud won routinely, coming out on top 6-3, 6-3 in just over an hour against Jan-Lennard Struff.
Ruud will now take on Nuno Borges tomorrow in the quarter-finals.
20:40 CET - Taylor Fritz is one step closer to booking his place at the ATP finals after making light work of Arthur Fils in the first night session encounter.
Fritz looked like a man on a mission as he beat Fils 6-3, 6-4 in just over an hour but a certain Carlos Alcaraz to come in the next round is a whole different challenge.

18:52 CET - The night session will be getting underway in the next 10 minutes, with Arthur Fils taking on Taylor Fritz first, before Casper Ruud meets Jan-Lennard Struff.
Remember, Fritz needs to reach the semi-finals at least in Paris to have a chance of qualifying for the ATP Finals - as long as Tommy Paul doesn't make it to the final!

18:23 CET - Another surprise name in the quarter-finals, Nuno Borges has thrashed Ignacio Buse, soaring to a 6-0, 6-2 win in an hour and 10 minutes. Borges wasn't even meant to be in the tournament, but entered the draw as a lucky loser!
Borges won the first eight games of the match as Buse looked to be struggling with some sort of injury. The Peruvian hit 21 unforced errors to just eight winners.
The 29-year-old has become the first-ever lucky loser to reach the Paris quarter-finals, and the third Portuguese player to reach this stage at a Masters 1000 event.
18:15 CET - Luca van Assche continues a tournament of upsets, stunning Lorenzo Musetti 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals on home court - his first time appearing in the last eight of a Masters 1000!
It took two hours and 38 minutes, and after saving two break points at 4-4 in the third set, Van Assche finally got over the line. He will face Rinky Hijikata in a quarter-final that no one would have predicted ahead of the tournament. What an opportunity for both players!
16:52 CET - Rinky Hijikata's dream run in Paris shows no sign of slowing down, with the Australian booking his spot in the quarter-finals of a Masters 1000 event for the first time following a battling 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory over Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
It is Hijikata's fifth straight win after having to come through qualifying, and he is the first qualifier to reach the last eight in Paris since 2021.
He will make his top 60 debut next week, and will face the winner of Lorenzo Musetti vs Luca van Assche, who are currently on court.
15:20 CET - Ben Shelton has set up a meeting with fellow American Tommy Paul in the next round of the Paris Masters after coming from a set down to edge past big-serving Arthur Rinderknech 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(5) in just over two hours.
With a lot of the top seeds already out, this is turning into a great opportunity for third seed Shelton, and he will fancy his chances of a deep run here in Paris.

12:50 CET - Tommy Paul has overcome the test of home favourite Quentin Halys, defeating the Frenchman 7-6(3), 6-4 to seal his spot in the Paris quarter-finals.
Paul also keeps alive his hopes of qualifying for the ATP Finals, knowing he needs to at least reach the final of this event to have a chance. He will face the winner of Ben Shelton vs Arthur Rinderknech, which is up next.
In some sadder news, Carlos Alcaraz is also into the last eight, after his opponent, Matteo Berrettini, withdrew from their match due to an injury.
11:01 CET - Play is set to get underway in the coming minutes in the French capital, with Tommy Paul vs Quentin Halys first up.

09:00 CET - Good morning and welcome back to our coverage of the Paris Masters, following a day of stunning upsets that blew the draw wide open.
Play gets underway in two hours, and one man who will be looking to take advantage is Tommy Paul. The American is on a quest to qualify for the ATP Finals, and he knows that reaching the final of this tournament could earn him a spot in Turin.
He will face Quentin Halys, who defeated Frances Tiafoe yesterday.

Following him on Centre Court is third seed Ben Shelton, who has already qualified for Turin. He takes on another Frenchman, Arthur Rinderknech.
Lorenzo Musetti will be aiming to follow up his victory over new world number one Alexander Zverev when he takes on - you guessed it - another Frenchman, Luca van Assche.
The evening session sees the big favourite to win the title, Carlos Alcaraz, go head-to-head with Matteo Berrettini, before a meeting between Taylor Fritz and Arthur Fils.
Like Paul, Fritz can qualify for the ATP Finals too, but has to reach the final. Fils no longer needs to worry about that, after his place was confirmed yesterday.
Other matches taking place on Court 1 throughout the day include Novak Djokovic conqueror Rinky Hijikata vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Nuno Borges vs Ignasio Buse and Casper Ruud vs Jan-Lennard Struff.
