07:43 CET - Learner Tien is into the fourth round of the US Open for the first time in his career, after winning a rollercoaster of a contest against Jakub Mensik, 6-3, 1-6, 6-7(2), 6-3, 6-4, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
For large portions of the contest, Mensik seemed the better player, and even went six games without dropping a point. However, Tien's resilience and tenacity saw him over the line.
He will face Karen Khachanov next.
07:13 CET - Much more straightforward for Alexander Zverev this time around, with the top seed clinching a straight-sets 6-2, 7-6(2), 6-2 victory over Alejandro Tabilo.
The German won both of his opening matches in five sets, playing well past 2am. However, he got the job done earlier this time, despite it still being late at night.
Up next for Zverev in the last 16 as he continues his quest for a second Grand Slam of the year? Luciano Darderi.
06:10 CET - Jakub Mensik currently leads American Learn Tien through three sets 3-6, 6-1, 7-6(2), while Alexander Zverev leads Alejandro Tabilo after the first set 6-2.
04:50 CET - Elena Rybakina gets past Yuliia Starodubtseva in straight sets, 7-6(6), 6-3, as she secures her spot in the US Open Round of 16 in back-to-back years.
This marked her 44th win of 2026 as the road to the world No. 1 spot continues. She'll take on Naomi Osaka in the fourth round. The only time they ever faced each other was back in Toronto a few weeks ago when Rybakina came out on top in three sets.
04:25 CET - American Iva Jovic defends the home court as she eliminates Alexandra Eala after a 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 third-round victory.
This marks Jovic's fourth top-20 win and third Grand Slam Round of 16 this year. She'll square off against fellow American Coco Gauff next round as Jovic looks to advance to her first-ever US Open quarter-finals.
04:15 CET - Botic Van de Zandschulp continues his incredible run at the US Open as he defeats Zizou Bergs 3-6, 7-6(3), 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-1!
After stunning No. 6 seed Alex de Minaur last round and now defeating Bergs, Van de Zandschulp advances to the US Open Round of 16 for just the second time in his career and the first since 2021, when he advanced to the quarter-finals, where he ultimately lost to Daniil Medvedev.
The last Dutchman before Van de Zandschulp to reach the US Open Round of 16 was Richard Krajicek in 1999. No player from the Netherlands has won the US Open. Tom Okker was the closest when he lost in the inaugural US Open final in 1968.
He'll now face Arthur Gea, who became the second 'Lucky Loser' in US Open history to reach the fourth round after he eliminated Michael Zheng.
03:53 CET - Naomi Osaka defeats Elise Mertens 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 in a top-20 battle for her 28th win of 2026.
Osako now advances to the US Open in back-to-back years (fourth ever) as she reaches her third Grand Slam Round of 16 in 2026. She now awaits the winner between Yuliia Starodubtseva and No. 2 seed Elena Rybakina, who are finishing up their first set.
03:00 CET - After almost a full three hours, Arthur Gea eliminates American Michael Zheng in a stellar comeback after taking him the full five sets, 7-6(7), 3-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
Gea now advances to his first-ever Grand Slam Round of 16 as he becomes the second Lucky Loser in US Open history to reach the fourth round.
23:15 CET - Coco Gauff has overcome the challenge of Cristina Busca to book her spot in the round of 16 with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.
The American world number four struggled to find consistency on serve with six double faults, but with 15 winners, she was able to prevail.
Meanwhile, Luciano Darderi has won 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 against Dane Sweeny, and Karen Kachanov is also into the next round with a straight-sets win over Benjamin Bonzi.
22:29 CET - Iga Swiatek has won in straight sets to move into the last 16, but doing so wasn't as easy as that headline would suggest.
25th seed Marie Bouzkova proved a formidable opponent, breaking Swiatek's serve just as often as the Pole was able to break hers, with both sets lasting well over an hour and going to tiebreaks.
After saving three set points to reach the second, Swiatek stepped up her game when it mattered most to seal a 7-6(3), 7-6(3) win after two hours and 27 minutes.
21:57 CET - Another top seed has fallen in the top half of the draw, with French Open runner-up Flavio Cobolli losing 6-7, 6-3, 6-0, 6-3 to young Belgian talent Alexander Blockx.
The 21-year-old produced a masterclass in serving, winning 86% of points on his first serve and hitting 17 aces. He stands tall at 6'4, and makes full use of that frame.
With Cerundolo his next opponent, he has a huge chance of going far in New York.
21:26 CET - Francisco Cerundolo has stunned Taylor Fritz with an absolutely incredible comeback!
The American looked to be cruising when he took a two-set lead, but he then imploded and ultimately lost 3-6, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4.
A huge amount of credit must go to Cerundolo, who really upped his game - he hit just 11 winners across the first two sets, and 29 across the final three.
20:50 CET - Fifth seed Mirra Andreeva is through thanks to a fairly comfortable 6-2, 7-6 win over Nikola Bartunkova.
She produced some excellent attacking tennis on her way to victory, hitting 25 winners and winning 19 out of 22 net points.
Next up for her is Potapova.
19:40 CET - Zheng Qinwen has produced a truly miraculous comeback against Madison Keys, defeating the 2017 finalist from 0-5 down in the final set to win 1-6, 7-6(3), 7-5.
Former world number four and current Olympic champion Zheng looked down and out, and after coming through qualifying to reach the third round, her run was on the verge of ending.
However, she reeled off seven straight games while saving a match point to break Keys' heart, and the American surely won't be able to sleep tonight.
For Zheng, she is back in the second week of a Grand Slam. A really exciting talent who has struggled with an awful elbow injury over the last 18 months, it is great to see her back competing at the top level.
She could face the woman she beat in the 2024 Olympic semi-final, Iga Swiatek, in the last 16, if she gets past Marie Bouzkova.
18:49 CET - Amanda Anisimova is out of the US Open! Last year's runner-up has fallen in the third round, losing 2-6, 5-7 to 24th seed Anastasia Potapova.
It was a solid performance from Potapova to reach the last 16 at Flushing Meadows for the first time in his career. However, Anisimova continued to display the inconsistencies that she has all year, hitting 46 unforced errors.
Anisimova will now drop out of the top 10 in the world rankings, while Potapova will face the winner of Mirra Andreeva and Nikola Bartunkova next.

It all gets underway at 17:00 CET, with last year's finalist Amanda Anisimova kicking off proceedings on Louis Armstrong, with a potentially tricky test against Anastasia Potapova.
On Grandstand, Australian Open champion Madison Keys faces the resurgent Olympic champion Qinwen Zheng, who had to come through qualifying to get to this position.
Fellow American Taylor Fritz is on Arthur Ashe at 17:30 CET, taking on Francisco Cerundolo. The former has looked imperious so far as he hunts his maiden Grand Slam.
Former champion Coco Gauff takes to court after Fritz with a clash against Cristina Bucsa, while the night session sees a mouthwatering contest between young guns and close friends Alexandra Eala and Iva Jovic.
The atmosphere will be electric, with Eala drawing a huge Filipino following wherever she goes and the Americans bound to be behind Jovic.
Finally, on Arthur Ashe, top seed Alexander Zverev continues his late-night conquest against Alejandro Tabilo, and he will be desperate to avoid a 2am finish for a third time in a row.
Following Anisimova on Louis Armstrong, fifth seed Flavio Cobolli has a very tough opponent in Alexander Blockx, and the Italian will have to raise his level if he wants to get past the Belgian.
Two-time champion Naomi Osaka then comes up against the difficult Elise Mertens, while another face-off between young stars, Jakub Mensik and Learner Tien, rounds off play.
Six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek will meet Marie Bouzkova on Grandstand, while Elena Rybakina will be hoping her injury issues stay behind her against Yulia Starodubtseva. The Ukrainian stunned Rybakina in the second round of Roland Garros earlier this year.
French Open champion Mirra Andreeva, Karen Khachanov, Zizou Bergs and Luciano Darderi are other names aiming to reach the fourth round.
