22:43 CET - That's a wrap on the day's action, but our live coverage will continue tomorrow with a brand new tracker - see you there!
22:31 CET - The final result of the day is a big one, with young Spanish sensation Rafael Jodar being knocked out by Casper Ruud, losing 6-3, 6-4 to the three-time Grand Slam finalist.
Jodar was in with a real chance of, remarkably, qualifying for the ATP Finals on his first full year on the tour, but the 20-year-old is now unlikely to do so, with Alex De Minaur, Djokovic, Fritz and Paul all still in the Paris tournament and all able to leapfrog him.
The result means Flavio Cobolli has officially qualified for the tournament in Turin, but whether he'll be fit to play is a question mark.
20:32 CET - Fresh off the news that he'll be coached by Juan Carlos Ferrero next season, Ben Shelton has stormed into the second round with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Cameron Norrie that was wrapped up in just over an hour.
With the world number four guaranteed to face an unseeded opponent next, he'll fancy his chances of getting into the latter stages without too much trouble.

19:15 CET - 11th seed Taylor Fritz has come from behind to beat qualifier and home favourite Benjamin Bonzi 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in a tougher battle than he may have been expecting.
The American thus still has a chance, albeit a slim one, of playing at the ATP Finals, but Jiri Lehecka's hopes have been ended by Alex Michelsen, who has beaten the Czech player 6-7, 6-2, 6-4.
17:27 CET - Novak Djokovic pulls off the comeback!
The Serb has stayed alive both in Paris and The Race to Turin, but just barely. He lost the opening set to Valentin Vacherot 7-6 in just under an hour, but then edged an equally gruelling second set before sealing a 6-7, 7-5, 6-1 win.
It was a real rollercoaster of a battle, with both players needing medical timeouts, but the great ultimately remains in with a chance of having a dream end to the season: A first Masters 100 title of 2026, and a spot in the ATP Finals.

17:16 CET - Tommy Paul needs a big win in Paris if he wants to make the ATP Finals, and he's kept his slim chances alive with a 7-5, 6-4 win over former top-10 player Holger Rune.
He may have lost, but Rune - who won this tournament in 2022 - can be fairly happy with that display, given he's still on the road to recovery after suffering a long-term injury that kept him out for around a year. To win nine games against a player as good as Paul is a positive sign for the Dane.
16:21 CET - Learner Tien has sealed his place in the second round in Paris after coming through a thrilling contest against lucky loser Adolfo Daniel Vallejo to win 6-3, 5-7, 7-5.
Despite spurning two match points when serving for victory in the second set, Tien held his nerve impressively in a closely fought decider to prevail in two hours and 22 minutes.

14:43 CET - Portugal's Nuno Borges has made light work of French teenager Moise Kouame, with the 29-year-old cruising to a 6-3, 6-1 victory in just 64 minutes.
Borges progresses to a second-round meeting with Karen Khachanov next.
14:10 CET - Tomas Martin Etcheverry has come through an almighty battle with former world number five Andrey Rublev, with the Argentine prevailing 6-4, 6-7(4), 7-6(3) in just under three hours.
The 27-year-old saved 100% of break points against his own serve, while hitting 43 winners in a high-quality contest.

13:08 CET - France's Arthur Rinderknech has also progressed to the next round after his opponent, Francisco Cerundolo, was forced to retire while trailing 6-3, 6-7(2), 0-2.
Rinderknech, who broke Cerundolo's serve to stay in the match in the second set, will take on qualifier Mattia Bellucci tomorrow.
12:49 CET - We have our first winner of the day in Paris, with home favourite Quentin Halys battling through two competitive sets to see off Arthur Fery 7-6(6), 7-5.
The Frenchman converted an impressive 86% of points behind his first serve, while firing down 38 winners (17 of which were aces). He'll face seventh seed Frances Tiafoe next.

08:30 CET - Good morning and welcome to our coverage of today's action at the prestigious Paris Masters!
We've got a fascinating day ahead at the Masters 1000 event, as several players in contention for ATP Finals qualification look to secure valuable points in pursuit of a place in Turin.
Novak Djokovic, a seven-time former champion in Paris, is one of those chasing a spot at the year-end finals, as the Serb takes on recently crowned Basel champion Valentin Vacherot in a tricky opener.
Elsewhere, third seed Ben Shelton comes up against Cameron Norrie, Spanish sensation Rafael Jodar faces Casper Ruud, and world number 12 Taylor Fritz takes on France's Benjamin Bonzi.
Before all of those matches, Andrey Rublev, Francisco Cerundolo and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina are in action this morning from 11:00 CET.
